You have finally achieved your goal. This should not be a stretch of the imagination, as it’s a given that you can do it. All the same humour me. So, there you are on stage in front of hundreds of people, accepting your award. As you step up too say a few words, you look over the crowd. Then you see that it is filled with a couple of people you know. No that’s not quite true, The crowd has ALL the people you know. What to say???? And you think to yourself there are two types of people. Each will have a conversation with themselves.
Type A: “I helped him/ her along their way”.
Type B: “I knew deep down that they would make it”.
The thing is that you stop and think. Both types of people were critical in helping you get to where you are now. Those that offered what appeared as no help, were critical in making you stronger, more determined, more resilient.
You clear your throat and say “THANK YOU EVERYONE!” And you mean it. You realize that you need them all equally.
So take a moment, on your journey to say a thank you to everyone you meet. As they have brought you to this point. Remember, you are more powerful than you could ever imagine.
As always, I didn’t post this to sit on a server somewhere. If you agree with it, use/ forward it to empower someone.
As children, how many of us remember reading these books? I know I did. However this week I read the following quote:
“You’re off to great places.
Today is your day!
Your mountain is waiting;
so be on your way!”
Now, for those who have read some of my previous posts, you’ll know I love to empower others. So with that in mind re-read the quote. From the lines I thought, that is so true. Go and attack that mountain that is in front of you! Somehow the simple rhymes seem to have different meanings now don’t they?
As any parent will testify, children watch and learn from us. Go dust off the Cat in The Hat books and read them again. This time with the emphasis of empowering the children to achieve what ever goal is in front of them.
Go after your dreams, your children are learning from you. What do you want them to learn?
A: Dreams are too hard. Just settle for what ever life hands you.
B: The only limits are those of my imagination. Let’s go!
As always, If you like this post please share it. I didn’t put this out to sit in space somewere. It is to empower someone to do something amazing!
This week I thought I would ask a question (with a twist).
Picture the scene:
You are Biff Tannen in the 1985 film Back to the Future (wow was it that long ago?). However a stranger (that looks like you) has given you a copy of the Sports Almanac. For those of you that are too young to remember the film bear with me.
The question is do you choose:
- Throw the book in the bin (garbage for the Canadians). As the man must be a nutter. If so click: Option A.
- Treat the book like the piece of gold it is and bet on every event in the thing? If so click: Option B
That is this week’s question, Click on either option and your outcome will be revealed!
If you are asked, the password is Almanac.
As always, if you like this blog, please feel free to share it. If you don’t, feel free to tell me.
